NJALL annually awards two scholarships to worthy graduates of New Jersey's adult literacy programs to support their goals in higher education and to help them be better prepared workers, parents and citizens. The 2024 Scholarships were awarded on June 21st during a Scholarship celebration to: YANILDA M from Bloomfield, NJ; Earned her HS Diploma through the Newark Evening Adult Center, her Associate’s Degree from Essex County College, and will be attending Montclair State University to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in graphic design. SANJA M from Sparta, NJ; Earned her HS diploma through the Newton Adult Education Program and is currently attending Sussex County College heading towards a degree in cybersecurity. Our scholarships provide $1,000 a semester for full-time students and are entirely supported by individual donations. NJALL pays all administrative costs for this program, so all contributions go directly to our scholarship recipients. Many of the students also work full time jobs, support families, and face economic challenges in their struggle to improve their lives and the lives of their families. We are also awarded five (5) one-time $500 Book Grants to the following applicants:
