The Scholarship Fund

NJALL awards two $1000 scholarships annually.  NJALL scholarships assist adult students who, after earning high school credentials via an alternate route (GED or Adult High School), go on to pursue further education at an accredited institution.  Many adult students have significant family and work responsibilities.  While they may receive financial aid, they often struggle to cover the expenses of childcare, textbooks, and transportation while they are in school.  Our scholarships help them with these expenses.  The NJALL scholarships also honor and validate the extraordinary motivation and effort these adult students exhibit in the pursuit of higher education.

Scholarship winners receive $500 per semester for up to four years.  They are selected based on educational and career goals, financial need, motivation, and life circumstances.

Applicants must be citizens of the U.S., residents of New Jersey, and must provide documentation of acceptance in an approved program of study in a post-secondary institution, two letters of recommendation, and a copy of the GED certificate or Adult High School diploma.
